FAQ-011
I have set up a Securilog and run a cycle, but when I import the file all I get is strange characters/data ie: “€€€€€.€.€ø€€.ø€ø€€.€.€.€.€€.x.xxø€øx€.ø€.ø€.€.x.€xxx€€ø€€€€€€€.€.€ø€€€€€x€.ø€x€.€.€€x€xx..€.€ø€x.xxxx”
FAQ-001
Question:
After data is imported into the software, all process cycles have checksum mismatch errors.
Answer:
This occurs only pre 1.4 firmware when a log file is created after the unique name has been changed.
If a different unique name is programed into Securilog this will conflict with the original unique name and the software will see this as tampering with the encryption.
If this happens on firmware 1.4 and above, the most likely problem is an incorrectly programmed Baud rate.
FAQ-002
Question:
Why is my Securilog recording files every day rather than every month as programmed through the software?
Answer:
Early versions of the Securilog unit may show these symptoms during October, November and December. Under these circumstances please be assured that data will not be lost. Isopharm Sentry can update these units, please contact us for further details via email securilog@isopharm-sentry.com or on +44 (0)1709 811 460
FAQ-003
Question:
Question:
Why is my Securilog recording all data into a single file?
Answer:
A small number of Securilog units manufactured in the middle of 2010 may show these symptoms and it is recommended that the units firmware is upgraded. Under these circumstances please be assured that data will not be lost.
Isopharm Sentry can update these units, please contact us for further details via email securilog@isopharm-sentry.com or on +44 (0)1709 811 460
FAQ-004
Question:
My cycles captured from a DAC are not in date order when viewed in the Securilog software.
Answer:
You need to download the latest version of the Securilog software. The DAC cycle data is dated MM/DD/YY. Securilog software versions 1.0.9 and above will recognise this date format and present cycle reports chronologically.
FAQ-005
Question:
I am on site installing a Securilog however I do not have a programing lead. Can I continue with the installation?
Answer:
Use the Export Config file feature in the programming section of the software to export a config.txt file to the memory card location. Ensure you insert the memory card into the Securilog whilst the Securilog does not have any power. When the power is applied, the Securilog will emit 5 ascending beeps and the unit will be configured as required.
Please note that the time and date will NOT be programmed using this method. It is also advisable to then eject the memory card and archive (if required) and delete any previous log files before continuing.
FAQ-006
Question:
I have not set up a ‘unique name’ on the Securilog, will this cause a problem?
Answer:
Each Securilog is already programmed with a unique number to ensure that data is not lost during import, however it is important that the name is kept unique as this is used during importing the data to ensure the software knows the difference between files generated on different Securilogs. It is recommended to replace the unique name with something more meaningful like ‘LS3 – LSK12345″ as an example.
FAQ-007
Question:
My customer has received ‘checksum mismatch’ or ‘invalid marker count’ errors, why has this occured?
Answer:
This is usually caused by the customer removing the card or turning off the power from the unit before it has finished writing all information to the SD/uSD card. Later versions of the software can fix most power down checksum/marker problems.
FAQ-008
Question:
I have performed a report output from the machine to the Securilog and the unit illuminated red and signalled error. The data is unreadable when opened.
Answer:
The Securilog unit has a 2k buffer which means that large amounts of data in excess of 2k will cause this error. This can happen on early Securilogs, however units with v1.3 and above firmware are able to manage this occurence more effectively so that the first 2k of data is recorded successfully. Any data in excess of 2k will not be recorded onto the micro SD card as Securilog was designed to log cycles as they occur and not to download large reports that the machine may have been recording over a long period of time prior to installation of Securilog.
Some machines can use a different lead and the Securilog programmed to send handshaking signals to fix this issue, please contact Isopharm Sentry for details.
FAQ-009
Question:
I am a machine manufacturer and want to supply Securilog as an off the shelf product direct to my customer. How will my customer manage the installation and programming of the ‘unique name’?
Answer:
For larger quantities of Securilog, Isopharm Sentry can provide a batch of units pre-programmed to customer requirements. Contact Isopharm Sentry for further details on +44(0)1709 811 460
FAQ-010
Question:
My customer is unable to print the reports.
Answer:
The Securilog software may need to be set up to use the correct printer. The printer settings can be found under ‘File’ then ‘Printer Setup’ then select the required printer from the dropdown menu. New versions (1.1.0.10 and above) of the software will set the default printer to the windows default printer the first time it is run.
FAQ-011
Question:
I have set up a Securilog and run a cycle, but when I import the file all I get is strange characters/data ie: “€€€€€.€.€ø€€.ø€ø€€.€.€.€.€€.x.xxø€øx€.ø€.ø€.€.x.€xxx€€ø€€€€€€€.€.€ø€€€€€x€.ø€x€.€.€€x€xx..€.€ø€x.xxxx”
Answer:
This occurs when the Baud rate programmed into the Securilog does not match the baud rate of the machine that the Securilog is connected to. Please alter the Baud rate of the Securilog to the correct Baud rate for the machine.
